New Imperial Assembly Card
I got my new Imperial Assembly
membership card today. They are awesome! I actually got
two, each with a different number, for each of my IA
memberships-- Andy Cowell of clan Lion, and Andy Cowell #2 of
the Shadowlands. They are nice, hard plastic "credit card"
style cards.

Inquest Imperial Favor Card
Zen reports that the latest Inquest contains an Imperial Favor card. That's
cool, but how will that be neater than the more traditional Favors,
such as origami cranes, beanie babies, ketchup bottles, deck boxes,
cans of coke, etc...? :-)

L5R Featured in Murphy's Rules
Dave Williams reports that L5R has been featured in Murphy's Rules, a
hilarious comic strip from the makers of Dork Tower that pokes
fun at the rules of various games. CORRECTION! Oops.
Apparently that was not an actual Murphy's Rule, but a
suggestion from Dave. Oh well, I've always liked Murphy's
Rules, and might as well give them a plug on my website.

Pearl Edition Info
A distributor for the
Magic Source is reporting an $11.99 per starter deck and
$2.99 per booster MSRP for Pearl Edition. Other facts on
Pearl: it represents the midpoint for the second L5R story
arc, and has starters designed for sealed deck play (similar
to DJH starters). There will also be a Pearl pre-release tournament on May
24.

Ugly Rumor Squashed
A false rumor started online over the weekend that the
DCI would make L5R tournaments best 2 out of 3 with a 15 card
sideboard. This is absolutely not true. Although the
false rumour was not repeated here, I wanted to add a link to
Luke's response for those
who my hear it later. It's also worth reading for those
concerned about WotC's relations with FRPG.

Uncommons, 3 Fixed Personalities and 3 Fixed Stronghold cards

DJH Feedback
DJH is starting to make its way to the public, I thought I'd
post some of the reactions I've received. Most importantly,
initial reports are that the sorting in DJH seems very, very
good so far. It has the usual great art, as you can see from
the scans. All in all, a very high quality L5R expansion. I
do, however, appear to be unable to track down two cards of
the 150 in the set; I believe at this point that they just
don't exist.
