- Larry Brom's classic rules, the
Sword and the Flame, as seen on the Major General's
site. Designed to cover colonial wargaming from 1878 to 1884, the
book covers British and British allies, Pathans (Afghanistan/North
West Frontier), Zulu, Boers, Egyptians, and Dervishes (Sudan). It
also includes the Sword in Africa, covering "Darkest Africa"
small-scale conflicts. Expansions (that came with the book when I
ordered it) cover the French Foreign Legion and the Boxer Rebellion.
