Greetings,

That's not because the personality has dual alignments, though.
Alliance looks for a given clan that is not yours, and reduces the cost
of any such members by 2, regardless of whether they're also aligned
with your clan. It's entirely a function of how Alliance works, and not
really anything to do with dual alignment.

Exactly. Precisely. By jove, I think he's got it.

Okay, here's the point where the deputy takes his hits from the
sheriff... ;)

No, I really meant "No." According to the accumulated rulings, the
Foo rule doesn't apply to strongholds.

Grrr. While this ruling may be more accurate, I think the first
ruling was the better one. Starting with no gold isn't a game, it's a
bloodbath. Especially in an environment containing Bandit Attack and
Plague of Locusts. :(

It is with a sense of a little acoomplishment and more relief that I
hand the reins of rules Q&A back to Jeff Alexander. I know I sometimes
caused a bit of confusion during my stint subbing for Jeff; I just hope
it wasn't *too* bad...
Meanwhile, I'm going to ask Andy Cowell to stop archiving my posts on
the Ruins of the West Wall, since my posts on general topics won't be
more or less informative than anyone else.

Looking forward to lurking for a while...
