  Nope. the Unicorn wanted to magistrate Imperial Law in the Lion lands, and
the Lions told them to back off. The Unicorn felt they were in the right,
acting as Toturi would have wanted - upholding his laws - and the Lion felt
the Unicorn were trying to impose Martial law on the Lion lands. Which, the
Unicorn effectively were.

  The Unicorn hahad been fighting for the Emperor while he was gone, while
the Lion had been resisting. Most people think it was because Toturi wanted
to reward the Unicorn for their faithful service while he was gone.
  The Shadow whispers differently...

  Nope. Tsanuri was marching with the bulk of hte Lion armies toward the Crab
lands, to aid the Crab with the Wall (because of the Crab's loss of the
armies from Hiruma Castle). Motso technically 'approved' the Oni summoning,
but he was *really* opposed to it. Okura was to control the Oni long enough
to drive out the Unicorn, then to comitt seppuku with those who aided him -
after sending the Oni home to the Shadowlands.
  It didn't quite work out that way.

  Akuma already had a name - he didn't need Okura's name. What he did need
was an ally against Kyoso no Oni, who had been rallying the Shadowlands
against Akuma while he was helping the Lion. So, Akuma 'created' his own
child out of blood and the his own flesh, and gave her the name he had stolen
from the Lion.

   Motso has challenged Tsanuri for the position. It has yet to be resolved -
the Lion are in too much danger, Tsanuri says, to have such an internal war.
Stand for the Empire - then for the Lion.

stolen Kitsu Okura's soul.  >>
  Sort of. Okura has her own soul - built from Akuma's flesh - and her own
name - taken from a Lion, the first Lion name ever give to an Oni. Akuma is
controlling her because he can, through his flesh. But she's unpredictable
right now.. uncertain about her new existance...
