Short form:

Daoquan died fighting the Unicorn Battle-maidens on the fields of White Shore
Plain. He died a hero's death, though he did not understand why his clan had
been (in his eyes) 'abandoned' by their Champion. He wasn't brought back
through blood-rites, but through sheer force of will. To put it succinctly,
he has *refused* to die while the Unicorn were threatening Lion lands.

When the wars end, perhaps Daoquan will put down his hatred, and rest in
peace.
