My Dear Honorable Doshi,
Ohayo-gozaimashita!
>It is sadly true that AEG's web site is about as useful as a Crab beserker
at a Haiku contest - I >discovered today they have another page of product
information on the main Alderac Site >rather than the L5R site, unfortunately
it is even more out of date!
Sadly, when all of our websites changed webmasters, the access codes
to all of our sites became mysteriously inaccessible. Thus, Kevin Millard,
our new webmaster, has been working very hard to update & revise our website.
This has become a greater task than anticipated, especially when he has to
start from scratch. Once again, all we have asked is a little patience on
this matter (as well as others), until it can be resolved.
>I have now seen the new screen - first impressions are as follows. It is a 4
panel screen, that >has been folded wrong! (in half then in half again rather
than fold the ends into the middle, >then fold in half).
Then do please explain the "proper" way to fold it. I just opened
mine and it seems easy enough to fold the exterior panels inward (as I resume
you would have them folded) without any damage to the screen. Why is this a
problem?
>I forget all the charts inside, but one panel seems dedicated to Clan War
rather than L5R RPG.
Take another look. It's for converting a Player Character to Clan
War for those GM's that use Clan War for mass battle rules instead of the
Battle Table on the left side panel.
>The enclosed book has a brand new adventure by Patrick thingy (sorry can't
remember his >surname, begins with a K...),
That would be Patrick Kapera, the gentleman who contributed to the
Way Of The Lion, edited Unexpected Allies, and wrote Legacy Of The Forge.
That Patrick "thingy"!
>but the rest of the information (Karma Rules, John W on how to shaft
powergamers, Maho >rules and Errata to the first printing) seem to be
unchanged. the latter at least is particularly >bizarre - given that they
apparantly rewrote some rules between printings, are they still >missing the
list of recommended reading?
You may have noticed that the changes noted in the GM' Screen's
GameMaster Pack were in fact made in the second & subsequent printings of the
L5R RPG Rule Book, and yes, the recommended reading list can be found on page
246.
That's my two koku!
Sayonara,
Otaku Masero
Unicorn Clan Stable Master
