a) When there was a web page people could reach, the LBS section was
so outdated that the Ebonites and the Jackals never even made it to
the page.
Our whole web page has been less than stellar for all of our products, I
agree. Part of the issue is that in the FRPG side of things, we have Me and
Ed. Everyone else is part of a service team (not a product team). So all of
the content that you see on the site is usually developed by us and we have
precious little time. If anyone want to write and content, and it is good
engough, I'd be happy to get it up on the list. I'll also see what I can do
about getting everything else up to date (another hook is that WotC is in
the middle of a total redesign of the whole web, but I think I've managed to
navagate around/through that one).
b) There has never been anything about LBS in the Herald. (And there
has only been one Herald in all that time.)
c) ONE promo card.
d) NO cards ever listed for Dinari. This last one is TOTALLY inexcusable
in my books. No matter HOW busy you are or how long it takes for the
next expansion, how long does it take to throw together a text list
of cards anyway???
These are all related to just one Herald. The next Herald (which Mindy is
working on now) does have cards for Dinari and some LBS content. It also has
some LBS goodies other than what you might expect. While I don't want to
ruin the whole list, if the list folk want, I could let you know some of the
cards that are in the Dinari list (but you can't order them until the Herald
is out). New Herald should be out by Origins, then the next one (keeping
fingers crossed) out by GenCon.
One more reminder, Tournament in Cedar Grove, NJ, 6/27!
Glad to see it!
On other notes, I'm trying to work up special extra incentive for people to
demo LBS. Hopefully, I'll have more on this next week.
If Pat can keep up, I also want to open up tournaments at cons to be
storyline events. I'm going to make ALL of the events at GenCon story events
if possible as well as the events at Origins. If you plan to run an LBS
event at a local con, let me know. I want to get the people into the picture
as much as possible.
