Hey folks,
Much like the Crab after we win the GotE, I will be away from the list
for one more day or so. I did want to answer a couple of things that came up
over the last week.

Someone was looking for a player list. While we don't have that yet, we are
going to try to put a player registry into the new L5R site, which
unfortunately won't be up for at least a couple of months, and might not
have a registry working for a month or so after that - again due to lack of
good DBA's in the Seattle area. But we are going to work towards that. The
idea is that if you WANT to be listed, you will be, and then people can do a
search for other players in their area, as well as other stronghold stores,
etc...)

You might see that I've sided with the Crab for GotE. Lately, I have felt
very close to the Crab for reasons that should seem obvious to readers of
this list. I hope that all the Kotei, card redesign noise doesn't take away
from everyone's enjoyment of the GotE coming up. Remember that all that
matters is what clan you play FOR, not what sealed deck you play - so this
is the time for those clans who haven't had a great posting in storyline
events to show their stuff. I've already heard rumbles about Scorpion
players koku-bribing to get others to play for the Scorpions!

While Koteis and Card Redesigns are the talk of the town, what drives L5R is
events like GotE. It's when we put control of the story directly into your
hands. I can't tell you all how much this puts stress on the design team,
having to be ready for some fairly drastic changes, but it is the one thing
that sets L5R apart from the crowd.

I also wanted to give two virtual high-fives to some of the folks on this
list. The long Toku story was awesome - seriously funny stuff. But what has
to take the high mark or L5R humor is that Gaijin Gazette - to anyone who
hasn't checked it out - go there. The fashion section had all of the people
in my cubicle row laughing so hard we were crying.
