Hey Ray (and list, thought I should share answer with everyone),
    I was going to start leaking out the new borders (1 per week) yesterday,
but my graphics guy Paul Timm was out sick. If he's in today, I'll have him
send one of the new borders to the web site (probably will get up Friday or
Monday depending on how busy puck is). When you see it, please remember that
color is totally monitor dependant - what you see as puke green, could be
yellow - so don't be too critical on color.
    I also have in front of me about 200 samples of the Pearl Edition rule
book, which has all of the borders in them. If I could figure a way to mail
them out to everyone, I would, but I don't want to leave anyone out. I may
send a copy to all of the stores running the Pearl Edition Prerelease
parties so that they get them before they run their events, but I haven't
yet decided (international is clammering for them as well). For the first
time, our rulebook is in color and it looks awsome.
    As for Matsu Gohei, he is in the burning sands right now. You'll find
out what happens to him in the Awakening (the big LBS basic set that comes
out on 6/25. When I showed Ryan what's up with Matsu, he just about freaked.
I'm imagining that a lot of people will have strong opinions about Matsu
Gohei's roll in the Awakening, but I'm not leaking nuthin' on that one!

    I was just wondering when you are going to post some images of the new
format L5R cards? I really want to see what they look like. Also, I wanted
to tell you that you are doing a great job with L5R. When Ryan Dancey left I
was a little bit worried but now I see that you are doing an even better job
than he did. I like the all the new things (DCI, foil cards, new format,
worldwide story tournies) so in short keep up the good work and please bring
MatsuGohei back.
