In general, a reaction that changes whether the duel is
refusable will take priority over a trait which is always present
when the two are producing opposite effects, since it will always
go into effect later. I've seen folks mention Pressure and Code
of Bushido. Those also work, although, technically, they reverse
your opponent's decision to refuse rather than deprive him of it.

Auction postings are inappropriate on this list. Please
keep them to the frpgtrades list.

Fortunately, it doesn't matter (at the moment).
Shadowlands-faction decks are exempt from the rule that lets
you buy your own Clan's Personalities for 2g less or for honor.
And giving something the "Shadowlands Horde" trait does not
give it the "Shadowlands" trait.
The real weirdness is that the Spawning Grounds and
Sepulcher of Bone don't seem to be "clans" like the Horde is.

NOTE: This is not really official yet.
I think selecting in secret and revealing simultaneously is
the only really good solution. If you don't want to use a sensei,
just pick any non-Sensei Fate card and shuffle it back in after
showing it.

The original poster is right. It IS in the FAQ.
] However, you do not have to meet those requirements when you start
] gathering your payment. All that matters is how you stand when you
] approach her with the money. (This rule only applies to purchasing
] cards, by the way. Anything else you try to do has to be legal
] before you can start it.)
You don't gain the Personality's own honor in this, of
course. That doesn't come until you've legally and fully bought
her. But if, on the off chance you're using something like
Imperial Acrobats, that counts right away and can push you over
the minimum.

If it happens "in a duel", it doesn't start until the duel
actually begins. That's fully after the challenge is issued.
Iaijutsu Art is legal here.

You cannot choose to retrieve nothing if there's something
there she can get, but if there's nothing left, you can still
use her and it counts as a successful use.
