The Iron Citadel doesn't say anything definitive about
supressing the Sensei's text rather than eliminating it. Any
permanent results remain.

     He'd get +1/+0.

Yes, but the Geisha Assassin counts as a Personality while
in the duel, and a 0 Chi Personality dies instantly. The duel is
aborted and there is no chance to play Poisoned Weapon.

     No. Read on...

No. I've already noticed this and double-checked with Dave.

It does not *explicitly* break either rule. By the latest
rulebook, it breaks neither.

     You are correct.

     You can't do both.

A). This is in the FAQ.

No. Nishiko doesn't say "discarded from play" anywhere.

That's one way that would have worked, yes.

No. Any Open or Battle Action taken during battle must
target, affect, or come from something in the battle or the
battle itself. That's the "Rule of Relevance". Yoshi's action
doesn't satisfy any of these if he's not there.

Someone else already said this, but it's important enough to
bear repeating:

The Journal prevents targetting with actions. Actions which
don't target at all -- like Evil Portents -- have full effect.

The Journal does NOT allow targetting with Ninja Actions.
The Journal allows Actions which target only Ninja cards to
target cards in the Journal's unit whether they're Ninja or not.

Not true. A Personality is NOT acting just because a
Follower (or Item) attached to him acts.

I, understandibly I hope, do not feel comfortable with a
ruling that makes the beginning of this turn happen before the
end of last turn.

     Your opponent wins.
