Insulting doesn't necessarily mean we're slamming the Asians, it can mean we
are violently mangling their language, and it can mean that we are seen to
be mocking our own cards.
How seriously would a Old West game be taken in the US if the cards referred
to them as "6-Pistols" and "Shootguns"? How seriously would it be taken if
they tried to name the Apache chief "Great Bison" and it were instead
translated as "Fat Cow"?
This sort of stuff does, unfortunately, appear in L5R. Much of it is a
holdover from the early days when insider jokes made it through. It does
need to stop.
