Actually, the name, I was once told by a certain individual, translated as
Butt-Kiss. However, I think he inadvertantly used the translated term for
butt-of-a-joke (i.e., fool) instead of anatomical posterior. I knew at the
time that Baka was an inaccurate translation, having known that the
Americans mockingly called the Oka (cherry blossom, IIRC) piloted bomb the
Baka Bomb instead. My observation was dismissed, which is just as well,
since the card had already been printed.

But this is exactly the sort of reason that some small course corrections
need to be made. L5R is supposed to be a serious samurai drama. It does the
brand little good to have names like this in the product; it keeps the
Japanese from taking it seriously.
