Print costs would make this option untenable. Personally, I figger tokens
cards will be flowing like water shortly. And you can pool them with your
friends.

I'm surprised you feel that way. Token cards were put in place of a common,
and most of the people I know hand out commons like candy (especially
everyone who advocates putting the SHs back on the deck boxes). Do you
actually use all the commons you buy? If not, then the token cards cost you
nothing. You could either get a token card, or a common that you won't use
because you have several of that common already.
